New Vice President appointed for OX2

OX2 has announced the appointment of Stephen Symons as its new Vice President – Australia, bringing with him 20 years of experience in the renewable energy sector.

OX2 has announced the appointment of Stephen Symons as its new Vice President – Australia, bringing with him 20 years of experience in the renewable energy sector.

Symons recently worked at Tilt Renewables, where he served as Chief Financial Officer for eight years, as well as the position of interim Chief Executive Officer.

This follows a number of key milestones for OX2 within the Australian market in the last few years. in 2023 the company acquired ESCO Pacific in Australia.  Since then, the company has sold its first solar farm and project rights for two solar projects. OX2 has also acquired its first onshore wind power project in Australia.

OX2’s total development portfolio in Australia consists of 2418 megawatts, with the company now active in solar, onshore wind and energy storage.

Symons said he was excited to join OX2 during what is a transformative period for renewable energy in Australia.

“OX2’s global expertise and ambitious approach align perfectly with the opportunities in this dynamic market,” he said.

“I look forward to leading our efforts to accelerate the transition to sustainable energy and deliver long-term value for communities, partners, and future generations.”

Symons’ tenure began May 13.
